At WAVAC Audio Lab 10th Anniversary.

At WAVAC Audio Lab 10th anniversary, I’d like to express my deepest appreciation to our staffs and their cooperation and passion.

I have been involving and listening to live performance and songs as a sound engineer for over 20 years. Live performance is like a living thing. We are never able to hear it again. However I have been thinking if and how real feeling and pure sound of live performance can be remained. As digital technique is developing these days, the music industry is no exception and also changing. However I can’t find the sound I’m seeking there. Humans are performing and singing. And humans are listening by their ears. When I look for comfortable sound, I can’t find it in digital sound.

“I want to listen to self-indulgent sound.”
“I want to pursue and recognize the sound I’m seeking.”

When I considered my concepts, I went back to the starting point of analog sound as vacuum tubes. At the same time, I had a fateful meeting with late Mr. Shishido who designed a new tube circuit. We developed new products by trial and error, but we were blessed with wonderful chassis design and staffs.
Another blessing was we had many audiophiles all over the world who agreed with our concepts.
We, WAVAC Audio Lab, will continue our policy of seeking self-indulgent sound.

History

1995	Obtained patents of “Coupling circuit of electron tube using transformer” in our joint names of Yoshiki Industry Co., Ltd. and the late Mr. Shishido. Released HE-4304 and ATT-S in Japan. HE-4304 and ATT-S selected as Good Design Product selected by the Ministry of Inter national Trade and Industry. ATT-S received the Prize of Smaller Enterprise Agency’s Director.
1995 December	Released EC-300B.
1996 January	Exhibited at USA Winter CES. Planed expanding our business overseas.
1996	EC-300B selected as Good Design Product selected by the Ministry of Inter national Trade and Industry.
1997 January	Exhibited at USA Winter CES.
1997	Released MD-811&MD-300B Released HE-833, giving the world’s largest output (100W) in the class A singleend amplifier.
1998 January	Exhibited at USA Winter CES. HE-833 sounded a low-efficiency speaker made by THIEL Audio easily and became a reputation.
1998 March	Mr. Shishido died suddenly. Mr. Ito took over his will, continued development of amplifier.
1998 June	Released PR-X1(Line pre-amplifier)・LCR-X1(phono-equalizer amplifier)
1998 August	Sigma Co., Ltd. took over from Yoshiki Industry Co., Ltd. to develop, manufacture, and sell WAVAC Audio Lab.
2003 January	Released PR-T1, and MD-805m.
2004 January	Released WAVAC Audio Lab 10th Anniversary Model SH-833, Attracted attention. Interviewed from the Wall Street Journal and published in newspapers. Interviewed from Playboy and posted in Playboy magazine.
2004 August	Became independent from Sigma Co., Ltd. as WAVAC Audio Lab.
2006 January	Released MD-805MKⅡ.
2006 August	Established a company as WAVAC Audio Lab Co., Ltd.
2007 January	Released HE-833MKⅡ.
2009	Released pre- amplifier PR-Z1.
